Concurrent Engineering: Supporting Prototype to Production
BAE Systems was developing the Digital Electronic Warfare System (DEWS) leverages 5th generation technology to provide advanced capabilities for the F-15 Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS). They needed electronic EMI filters that had to meet tight envelop and weight restrictions while complying to a detailed performance specification. The filters had to meet stringent military environment specifications including MIL-STD-464.
Ultra EMS engineering worked closely with BAE Systems engineering to develop a filter that met performance while optimizing weight and volume. Concurrent engineering is important early in the development process since performance dictates weight/volume.
Ultra EMS continues to support this important DEWS program in production. Support includes spares as well as aftermarket repairs if required.
