The Society of Automotive Engineers has more than 90,000 members-engineers, business executives, educators and students from more than 97 countries-who share information and exchange ideas for advancing the engineering of mobility systems.

SAE International (originally Society of Automobile Engineers – 1905), changed to Society of Automotive Engineers – 1916) is an organization for engineering professionals in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries. The Society is a standards development organization for the engineering of powered vehicles of all kinds, including cars, trucks, boats, aircraft, and others.
SAE International has over 120,000 members such as engineers, business executives, educators and students from more than 97 countries-who share information and exchange ideas for advancing the engineering of mobility systems. The mission of SAE International is to enable voluntary consensus on standards development. The SAE Foundation raises funds to support science and technology education in students from elementary school through to college.
